I am a composer who currently holds the position of Provost/Dean at the Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatán an arts university located in southeastern Mexico, in the city of Merida, state of Yucatán.

In addition to my duties as Dean, I also teach music composition and electroacoustics at graduate level and lecture on semiotics, musical analysis and critical thinking as applied to music. I am a keen amateur photographer and have been folding origami for the last 45 years.
